St. John’s in Florence to present ‘The Musical Splendor of London … – SCNow

 FLORENCE, S.C. – St. John’s Church invites the public to attend the fourth concert of its 2017 Epiphany Concert Series at 6 p.m. Sunday as it presents Columbia Baroque in a program of “The Musical Splendor of London and Paris.”

A year-round professional chamber ensemble, Columbia Baroque is composed of leading baroque music specialists, each with distinguished careers as chamber musicians, teachers and soloists.

The ensemble brings to life historically inspired, spirited and expressive chamber music of the baroque period on instruments of the period at baroque low-pitch, with various combinations of recorder, violin, viola da gamba, harpsichord and voice.
