Robin Thicke and his wife Paula Patton officially split after nearly nine years of marriage and over 20 years together. The couple announced their separation in a joint statement on Monday (February 24, 2014). “We will always love each other and be best friends. However, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the statement read.
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton were high school sweethearts. They met when Ms Patton was just 14 years old. The pair got married in June 2005 and have a 3-year-old son together, named Julian. The “Blurred Lines” crooner and the “Baggage Claim” actress may have seemed like the perfect celebrity couple, so their fans were apparently surprised when they decided to mutually separate. In addition to their grueling work schedules that may have been a factor in their separation, a slew of recent cheating rumors have plagued the pair. The “Lost Without U” singer was snapped grabbing 20-year-old Lana Scolaro’s backside at N.Y.C nightclub 1Oak last August. The blonde beauty said that she had hooked up with Robin and would love to grab a drink with him if he asked. Most recently, Mr Thickie was also spotted flirting with a woman inside the Parisian nightclub Club 79. He was seen embracing her and even dirty dancing with her. Apart from his infidelity, his infamously handsy VMAs performance with Miley Cyrus was the tip of the iceberg for Paula Patton.
