Larson Electronics Releases a Digital Explosion Proof PTZ Camera

Larson Electronics LLC, a leading industrial lighting company, announced the release of a new explosion proof digital camera this week. This high resolution day/night camera (EXPCRM-IP-POE-DPTZ) is designed for security and remote observation in both indoor and outdoor environments. It features a mechanical infrared cut filter, motion detection and the ability to incorporate up to 64GB of storage,as well as, provides operators in hazardous areas with crisp high-resolution images.

Equipped with a 1.27 mm optical lens, this explosion proof digital PTZ camera produces up to 6.0 mega pixel (3072 x 2048) resolution while operating at 12V DC. Operators may choose from the following viewing modes: fisheye, horizontal panoramic and ePTZ quad view. A 360° fisheye panoramic surround view offers wider coverage and eliminates blind spots, while an 180° panoramic view provides end-to-end horizontal coverage. Infrared (IR) LEDs may be enabled for coverage of up to 49′ in dark hazardous locations. The Smart IR technology in this unit reduces over-exposure of the IR LEDs at the center of the image.
