Hannibal High School’s vocal music program continues to enhance its reputation, landing four positions on the All-State Choir.

“We are always excited to have any students make it,” said Sara Kurz, vocal music instructor at HHS. “It has been such an honor to have multiple students selected, even if two of them are alternates.”

Landing four places is noteworthy, according to Kurz.

“Four is a high number. We always hope for at least one,” she said. “To get four is awesome. Last year was an exception, because we had eight chosen.”

This year’s all-staters are seniors Liliana Erskine, Abbey Laws, Chandler Waelder (alternate) and Megan Beilsmith (alternate).
