Shape: it is a depiction of an object or a concept as a collection of lines and dots. There are two dimensions of shape: length and width. It is illustrated within an area that is indicated by poles apart tangents like Space, Color, Form, Value and Texture. Shapes are outlined when multiple lines are linked with a definite border. They can be squares, ovals or any other type of geometrical figure.

A horizontal line depicts stillness and peace; A Vertical Line signifies an organized feeling and Diagonal Lines generate movements. Using these lines, several artists try to convey their message.

Space: The creation of a visual point of view that gives the false impression of depth is another element of art known as space. An appropriate use of space is an art in itself. It can be categorized as Positive and Negative. Positive Space is one that is taken by an object while Negative Space is one that is between two objects. The best way of employing both the spaces types affects the entirety of the artist’s composition.
