Attention, readers and writers: This conference is for you – Houma Courier

The 14th Annual Jambalaya Writers’ Conference is scheduled for March 4 at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library in Houma.

This all-day event will feature writing sessions for fiction, nonfiction and children’s writers. Session topics include self-publishing, getting your novel published, writing better fiction, poetry and other sessions to improve writing.

Speakers include Jeff Lindsay, writer of the “Dexter” series on Showtime; New York Times bestseller Rachel Caine, author of the paranormal “Morganville Vampire,” “Revivalist” and “Weather Warden” series. Marvel Comic writer Roland Paris will present sessions, along with romance writer Farrah Rochon. Rochon writes the “New York Sabers,” “Holmes” and Camp Firefly series. She is a USA Today best-selling author.
