Alabama got its first SEC weekly honor of the season.

The league recognized forward Braxton Key as its freshman of the week after two big performances in wins over Georgia and Mississippi State. The Oak Hill product averaged 22.5 points a game in the victories that pushed Alabama to a 13-7 record, 6-2 in the SEC.

Key had a career-high 26 points in the 80-60 blowout win over Georgia on Wednesday. He shot 7-for-11 from the field while getting in the lane for layups and making 9 of 13 foul shots.
