A look at league races in the final week of the regular season – Orange County Register

This is the final week of the regular season.

Many teams have clinched playoff berths, and a few have captured league championships.

Here is a league-by-league look at the races:

Academy League: Sage Hill and Crean Lutheran are tied for first place and play each other twice this week. St. Margaret’s and Oxford Academy are vying for third.

Crestview League: El Dorado clinched a share of the league championship. Foothill and El Modena are in the running for second place.

Empire League: Cypress is in first place, one game ahead of Tustin and Valencia. Pacifica still has a chance.

Express League: St. Michael’s Prep is in first place and has clinched a playoff berth. Tarbut V’Torah is battling La Verne Lutheran for second in the four-team league.

Freeway League: Troy, Fullerton and Sonora have clinched playoff berths.

Garden Grove League: Garden Grove, La Quinta and Rancho Alamitos are the top three teams, with Santiago one game out of third place.

Golden West League: Segerstrom, Ocean View and Loara will be this league’s playoff representatives.

North Hills League: Canyon clinched the league title. It’s wide open for second.

Orange League: Katella is league champion. Century, Savanna and Anaheim are in a tight race for second and third.

Orange Coast League: Laguna Beach won the league championship. Estancia and Calvary Chapel clinched playoff berths.

Pacific Coast League: Corona del Mar, Beckman and Woodbridge have clinched playoff berths, with order of finish to be determined.

San Joaquin League: Capistrano Valley Christian won the league title. Saddleback Valley Christian secured a playoff berth.

Sea View League: League-leading Trabuco Hills clinched a playoff berth. Dana Hills, San Juan Hills and Tesoro are vying for second and third place.

South Coast League: El Toro and Mission Viejo are going to the playoffs. San Clemente, Aliso Niguel and Capistrano Valley are in the running for third.
